At the end of February, Castle Voices will be opening the doors of Carrickfergus Town Hall for a full-day singing training workshop — a day dedicated to learning, listening, and singing together.
Taking place on Saturday 28 February 2026, this free workshop is made possible through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Small Grants Programme. It’s open to anyone with an interest in singing — whether you sing regularly in a choir, are curious about vocal technique, or simply enjoy making music with others.
A day of shared learning
The training is designed to be supportive, practical, and accessible. No preparation is needed, and all music and materials will be provided on arrival. Across the day, we’ll explore how the voice works, how we listen more deeply, and how rhythm and pitch can feel more secure and joyful when learned together.
The sessions will cover:
Vocal exercises & singing mechanism
Introduction to the Solfège system
Rhythm & ear training
There will be time to rest and connect too, with a tea break in the morning and a relaxed lunch break in the middle of the day.
